I keep seeing comments that humans drive with vision only.
Ignoring that this isn’t true (we pair that vision with a brain very good at handling complex dynamic tasks and fuse in motion sensor information from our inner ear at the very least) why is the goal only as good as humans drive?
Why not better?
Why not as good as humans with radar and live updated gps maps in their heads?
Why not able to drive in super low visibility conditions that humans are really bad at?
It would be hard enough to get people to trust a system was safer than humans let alone one that’s only just as good.
