I’m a Chevrolet Bolt EV owner, and sometimes use Tesla destination chargers with an adapter (there’s a lot of these conveniently close to where I live).
I noticed a damaged charger that Tesla owners wouldn’t use (it had been marked with an X), because the cable’s sheathing pulled back from the charging handle a bit, exposing the wires inside. That would clearly scare anyone that would try to use it!
So I decided to do some quick patch work with gorilla duct tape to reinforce the cable, and tested it to make sure it was working fine. The very next day, I saw a Tesla using the charger, and saw another using it again today.
It was simple, but feels good to help fellow EV owners out. Happy Charging!
