The Linq High Roller Supercharger in Vegas has 24 stalls, 2 large solar canopies and some Superpacks to store the energy from the solar.
My question is — why the Superpacks? This Supercharger has 24 stalls and the 2 solar arrays probably produce 80 KW at best in ideal conditions. That is 160 KW at most produced by the solar. As long as there are 2 cars charging, it’ll all get used, sometimes just one car will be enough. So 90% of the time there won’t be any excess energy to store, and for the 10% that there is, just feed it into the grid. Wouldn’t that save Tesla a money?
