Dear Tesla, please stop changing Autopilot’s set speed behavior

Lately, it seems like this functionality changes with every other update. It goes like this:

Mode A:

  1. Double tap stalk to engage TACC and autosteer > TACC engages at current speed.
  2. Disengage autosteer, leave TACC enabled, but override with pedal to complete pass, move back into right lane, double tap stalk > TACC remains at speed already set previously, lift foot off accelerator pedal and vehicle slows to that speed. Use scroll wheel to adjust speed if necessary.

Mode B:

  1. Double tap stalk to engage TACC and autosteer > TACC engages at current speed.
  2. Disengage autosteer, leave TACC enabled, but override with pedal to complete pass, move back into right lane, double tap stalk > TACC engages at current speed. Forces use of scroll wheel to reduce set speed.

To me, Mode A is preferable because I have spent way more time with the car behaving this way. I don’t really have a problem with change, but if it’s going to be changed to Mode B, just change it and STOP messing with it.
